21st CCLC Teacher (Group Instructor) Reports To:
Site Director General Description Make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and their families by tutoring students.
Be a part of a not-for-profit team that is passionate to inspire learners to excel in every area of their lives and make meaningful changes in the world.
Teacher Primary Responsibilities Provide group instruction for up to 20 students and one on one tutoring of students using a variety of skill types such as play, communication, self-help and academic instruction in accordance with individual students goals and plans.
Create an individual tutoring plan (ITP) that matches student ability and learning style.
Recommend at-home strategies for reading skill improvement.
Maintain written records and evaluations of students.
Create and prepare supplemental lesson plans and materials Ensures quick and accurate use of curriculum and methodologies/strategies Collects data during teaching Identifies, plans and implements actively engaged enrichment activities Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification
Qualifications:
4-year degree from a college or university and 3 years of teaching experience Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
Works independently with little direct supervision Has experience working as a teacher at a elementary Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills Teacher Working Hours We are looking for a teacher that can work with elementary students in all subjects.
Hours are from 2:
30pm to 6:
00pm Monday through Friday.
