Senior Manager, Solutions Engineering for GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc.
at its facilitates in High Point, NC.
This is a client facing role.
Hire, train and develop industrial engineering staff; provide technical support and direction to site industrial engineers and managers.
Develop labor standards, process flow diagrams and job descriptions for both new and existing operations.
Conduct time study analysis to estimate facility staffing requirements and establish production standards for department processes.
Identify, evaluate and implement productivity improvements.
Document processes to facilitate operational startups, providing on-site support as required; convert contract documents and SOW into work instructions and operating procedures.
Review site slotting strategy and suggest appropriate changes.
Provide comparisons of modeled costs and UPH measurements vs, actual.
Analyze ongoing costs, providing comparisons to prior cost and price estimates.
Select the correct model for receipt, put away, picking and packing solutions.
Identify storage and picking strategy based on product dims and activity levels.
Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product envelope, product flow, transportation methods, building layout and power requirements.
Specify material handling and storage equipment solutions and use of automation where justified.
Collaborate with IT resources to develop equipment requirements based on activity levels.
Must be open to being on call on weekends and holidays as needed.
This position is open to telecommuting from anywhere in the United States.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field.
Experience must include five (5) years post bachelors progressive experience in all of the following:
Lean Methodology and AutoCAD; Six Sigma practices and principles; Lean methodologies and continuous improvement; Industrial engineering experience in a distribution environment; Supervisory/management experience; SQL; Supply chain warehousing experience.
Experience must also include two (2) years post-bachelors progressive experience in the following:
Manhattan or Blue Yonder or SAP or NetSuite warehouse management systemsCONTACT:
