We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable individual to join our operations team in a hybrid role.
The Inventory Specialist and Operations Support will be responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels of supplies, materials, and components.
The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the inventory through precise tracking and documentation to support efficient manufacturing, assembly, and distribution processes.
In addition to the inventory related responsibilities, this key role will oversee safety coordination, purchasing supplies, and parcel shipments.
Key
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure materials are readily available for production.
Conduct regular cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure system data accuracy.
Manage the receipt and storage of incoming materials and verify quantities and quality.
Coordinate with procurement and production departments to forecast inventory needs and schedule deliveries.
Make data-driven suggestions for ordering goods based on inventory levels and usage trends.
Utilize inventory management software to track inventory movements and generate analytics for management.
Participate in the implementation of improvement initiatives for inventory processes and systems.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in the storage and handling of inventory.
Coordinate the storage and movement of materials, equipment, and supplies within or between departments and warehouses.
Control physical storage of materials to optimize space and accessibility.
Safety Coordination:
Support the enforcement of safety protocols and procedures across all operational activities.
Conduct regular safety audits and coordinate training sessions for staff on safety practices.
Serve as the primary contact for safety-related issues.
Purchasing and Supplies Management:
Manage the purchasing of supplies that are necessary for daily operations.
Oversee the stock levels of supplies and materials to prevent shortages and excess.
Secure cost-effective deals are made and maintain quality of supplies.
Parcel Shipments:
Coordinate the shipment of parcels, including preparation, scheduling, and tracking.
Ensure that all parcels are properly packaged, labeled, and documented according to company policies and legal requirements.
Reporting and Administration:
Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, safety compliance, and purchasing expenditures to management.
Participate in the development of improvement initiatives for supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an inventory specialist or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing, assembly, or distribution environment.
Strong understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
Proficiency in inventory software, applications, databases, and systems.
Excellent understanding of seamless workflows.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions:
The position requires lifting of heavy items and standing for extended periods.
Regular on-site presence is required with limited flexibility for remote work as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Capability to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
