Growing company has an opportunity for a Director of Cost reporting to the CFO. This is a key position overseeing the cost accounting for the company. You will interact with individuals throughout the organization to ensure accurate costing of inventory. In this role you will also supervise a team of cost accountants.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all activities related to the cost accounting functions
Work with operations to develop and maintain standard costs.
Analyze actual costs and prepare reports comparing standard costs to actuals.
Understand the inventory and cost accounting methodology throughout the company
Analyze standard and purchase price variances and be able to communicate results
Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers.
Report results of costs analysis to senior management
Work with internal customers throughout the company
Interact with external auditors and answer questions as needed
Supervise cost accounting team
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
MBA or CPA preferred
10 plus years of experience in manufacturing industry
Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
Strong analytical skills
Significant cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment
Experienced in interacting with individuals throughout an organization from operations to senior leadership
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
