Mechanical, Electrical or similar Engineering degree.
Solid understating of the engineering principles and design considerations for various batch chemical processing plant equipment and processes including: tanks; pumps; valves; hydraulics; motors; variable frequency motor drives; heat exchangers, refrigeration systems, chillers and boilers; temperature, pressure, flow, and conductivity instrumentation; waste treatment systems, filtration, and water purification systems.
Ability to design and generate process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for various plant operations using CAD software.
Project management abilities.
Track record troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing complex controls and instrumentation systems.
Knowledge of industrial control software systems
Shall:
Initaite equipment design, installation and improvements projects.
Working with facilities maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment, processes and productivity metrics.
Taking responsibility for scope definition, capital cost estimates, system design, cost value analysis, equipment design specifications, development of engineering design specifications, and management of outside consulting engineering firms and contractors for new equipment projects.
Managing project installations, start-up, commissioning, and effective training of plant operations personnel on new equipment and technology.
